| Hello my friends, It is my pleasure to drop you a quick note of encouragement and thanks today. This last weekend marked my first official days as a part of the family of Table Rock Fellowship. And my first weekend as a part of the family was a resounding success. I loved getting to worship with you, laugh with you, and share in the blessing of being in God’s word alongside you. You are a beautiful family of faith, and are an amazingly welcoming and loving Body of Christ. I cannot thank the Lord enough for allowing me to be connected to such a group of believers. As I think back on what I have experienced during this last two days, I am reminded of the heartfelt message of the Apostle Paul that was given to the people of the church of Philippi, which says: “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:2-6 I too am grateful for the way that we were able to so quickly join forces as “partners” in the gospel message of Jesus Christ. To me, the church body feels like an old friend rather than a new acquaintance, and I went away from our time together feeling confident that we are all on the same team, heading the same direction. Time will prove this to be true, I am confident of this fact. I also share in the confidence expressed by the Apostle Paul when he made it clear that the work that the Lord has started will indeed be carried on to completion or until the return of our Lord. We have a great future as a church family because we are seeking to follow a great Savior and Lord. He will continue to work through us until our mission is complete, or until the day of his return. Today, as you go about your business (or as you enjoy some time off), name two or three parts of your church family for which you are also grateful. Ask yourself, how can I be a better partner in the gospel as I serve alongside my friends and family at Table Rock? What are some ways you can give God thanks every time you think of your church family? Thank you for welcoming me into the family, Yours in Christ, Ryan Laden |
