THIS IS TABLE ROCK FELLOWSHIP – PASTOR BILL MUIR (DEVOTIONALS)
Day 3 — “Restored From the Inside Out”
“He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3
“Grace is not opposed to effort; it is opposed to earning.” — Dallas Willard
Thought:
God’s primary work is not behavior modification but soul restoration. He doesn’t start by fixing the outside; He heals the inside. The Shepherd restores what is worn down, fractured, or discouraged. From that restoration flows a new way of living—paths that lead toward life.
Righteousness here is not moral perfection; it is alignment. God leads us into ways of being human that reflect His goodness. And He does this not because we deserve it, but for His name’s sake—because it is who He is.
Reflection:
Where do I most need inner restoration right now?
Application:
Ask God specifically to restore one tired or broken place in your soul today.
Prayer:
Restoring God, I bring You my weariness. Lead me again in Your ways—not out of duty, but out of love. Heal me from the inside out. Amen.
