“HOME AT LAST”

THIS IS TABLE ROCK FELLOWSHIPPASTOR BILL MUIR (DEVOTIONALS)

Day 7 — “Home at Last”

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” — Psalm 23:6

“Our deepest longing is not to be successful, but to be home.” — Ruth Haley Barton

Thought:
This journey ends not in achievement, but in belonging. God’s goodness and mercy do not merely visit us—they pursue us. Even our past is not beyond redemption; grace follows us all our days.

To dwell in God’s house is not just a future hope; it is a present way of living—abiding, trusting, remaining. The Shepherd leads us home, again and again, until one day we realize we’ve been with Him all along.

Reflection:
What does “home with God” mean for me right now?

Application:
Live today with an awareness that you are already welcomed and held by God.

Prayer:
Faithful Shepherd, thank You for walking me home. Let me live today rooted in Your goodness, secure in Your mercy. Amen.
