“17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[a] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling[b] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

“26 for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”
 

Devotional: The prodigal couldn’t clean himself up. He had no resources, no shower, no change of clothes. He came as he was, and the father covered him with a robe. This is the heart of the gospel: Jesus becomes our righteousness. We are clothed in Him, not in our own achievements. God made Jesus “who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” In that divine exchange, your shame is covered, your sin removed, your status changed from servant to son or daughter. Stop trying to earn what’s already been given. The robe is yours—not because you cleaned up first, but because grace clothes the unworthy. Wear it today with confidence, knowing you’re fully accepted.

We will build up an ongoing network of support with Evangelical Christian churches, the Christian community, nonprofit organizations, business owners and families to continue to strengthen families.
